Mock Draft
1) Miami Dolphins - Jake Long, OT, Michigan
The building blocks of a team is the Oline.
2) St. Louis Rams - Chris Long, DE, Virginia
He's got the talent and the heart.
3) Atlanta Falcons - Glenn Dorsey, DT, L.S.U.
The Falcons decide to fix their interior lineman issues and count on getting a QB in the 2nd round or trade back into the bottom of the first to grab one. Dorsey is a much better value here than Matt Ryan.
4) Oakland Raiders - Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas
Al Davis can't pass up the flash of Darren McFadden. McFadden, I'm sure, is hoping otherwise.
5) Kansas City Chiefs - Ryan Clady, OT, Boise St

6) New York Jets - Vernon Gholston, DE, Ohio St
A pure beast. An immediate impact player.
7) New England Patriots - Leodis McKelvin, CB, Troy
McKelvin is an excellent player, but they would love to trade down for future picks.
8) Baltimore Ravens - Matt Ryan, QB, Boston College

9) Cincinnati Bengals - Sedrick Ellis, DT, USC
Since the combine, some rank him higher than Dorsey. No doubt, he is a very good player but I still think Dorsey is the monster. A great pick for Bengals though.
10) New Orleans Saints - Keith Rivers, ILB, USC

11) Buffalo Bills - Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB, Tennessee St

12) Denver Broncos - Chris Williams, OT, Vanderbilt

13) Carolina Panthers - Branden Albert, OG, Virginia
If you can't protect your QB, you can't be successful in the NFL. Albert has huge size and power. He has climbed up the boards pretty quickly.
14) Chicago Bears - Jeff Otah, OT, Pittsburgh
They could go QB here but they probably can get the same guy they'd take here in the second round anyways. Even great QBs have a hard time winning games when their protection is not sound...ie the Super Bowl.
15) Detroit Lions - Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Illinois
Could go OL here. Don't count out a trade to ship Roy Williams out (new contract and all) for another 1st round pick
16) Arizona Cardinals - Aqib Talib, CB, Kansas

17) Kansas City Chiefs - Derrick Harvey, DE, Florida
They are trying to pickup Jerad Allen in a trade from KC before this pick. Was going WR here before they picked up Berrian in FA. Could still grab a WR in later rounds for depth. Eramus James can't stay healthy enough to live up to his potential.
18) Houston Texans - Jonathan Stewart, RB, Oregon
The Texans should finally fix their running woes. They still have Ahman Green and signed Chris Brown in the offseason. Ron Dayne most likely won't be resigned.
19) Philadelphia Eagles - Quentin Groves, DE, Auburn
Defense is an issue that needs to be addressed.
20) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - DeSean Jackson, WR, California
An immediate impact on special teams and hopefully can be groomed into a replacement for Joey G.
21) Washington Redskins - Limas Sweed, WR, Texas

22) Dallas Cowboys - Felix Jones, RB, Arkansas
TRADE WATCH. Since Jerry Jones took over the GM job at Dallas (20 years ago), he has only NOT traded a 1st or 2nd round pick 3 times. Jones would be the Ying to Marion Barber's Yang. Might be high for Johnson but he wouldn't last much longer in the 2nd round. Jerry could trade down with this pick into the 2nd round (upper half; maybe trade with the falcons for two of their picks in the 2nd round) to grab Jones there. There is a group of RBs that could fit here though (Chris Johnson, Ray Rice, Jamaal Charles).
23) Pittsburgh Steelers - Gosder Cherilus, OT, Boston College
They allowed way too many sacks last year!
24) Tennessee Titans - Devin Thomas, WR, Michigan St
Vince needs a playmaker at WR
25) Seattle Seahawks - Dustin Keller, TE, Purdue
BUST WATCH (a possible workout warrior only) He reminds me of Vernon Davis - Pollard ain't cutting it.
26) Jacksonville Jaguars - Phillip Merling, DE, Clemson
A great talent. Could go higher but injury might have some concerned on immediate impact he could have on a team.
27) San Diego Chargers - Jamaal Charles, RB, Texas
Turner has left for good money, so they will need a similar piece behind LT
28) Dallas Cowboys - Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona
TRADE WATCH. Jerry Jones is a dealer; could try to trade for a vet WR (ie chad johnson or anquan boldin). The great Jimmy Johnson once said, "you can never have too many good corners". I think Dallas will draft 3 corners this draft unless they get Pacman in a trade from the Titans.
29) San Francisco 49ers - Sam Baker, OT, USC
Jennings seems to be injury prone and they need some depth here.
30) Green Bay Packers - Brandon Flowers, CB, Virginia Tech

31) New York Giants - Dan Connor, OLB, Penn St
