Or see an old friend on the sideline before kickoff and say hello. When the favored San Francisco 49ers open the season at NFC West rival Seattle on Sunday, it will be a little different. |

| Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley understands his team will have to play physical against the San Francisco 49ers in the team's first regular-season game of the year.
"I think with the first game, everybody is upbeat and excited about it to see what we got," Bradley said. "The preseason is nice. You get a chance to see some guys and how they develop. But now it's the real deal. So we'll see what we're made of." The 49ers, predicted by most league observers to win the NFC West, likely will rely on a steady diet of running back Frank Gore this season, trusting their defense to control the game against most teams. So Bradley knows that his defensive front will have to contain Gore and not let him break loose like he did against Seattle in San Francisco... |
